Activity: Analysing Sources of Information

Collect different pieces of information e.g. press, internet, radio, personal accounts, and remove anything that explains who has written it or where it has come from.

>useful resources

Ask the students to analyse which dimensions (historical, territorial, political, religious, legal or economic) the source relates to and the lenses through which the author/creator is viewing what is going on.

>see lenses activity

N.B if you do this activity it is very important to get differing views, to do this you may need to look at information sources from different countries.

This is part of a series of activities that help participants learn skills for dialogue and communication, particularly when talking about faiths or beliefs. For more information on this series or to invite our team into your school, please contact us.
