Meet the Staff

Behind the scenes a dedicated band of people are working hard to promote the aims of TFF.

  Born in Canada, of Iraqi-Jewish descent, Stephen Shashoua became Director of TFF in early 2008. He has overseen the development of new and existing programmes, the launch of a branch in the Middle East and new partnerships and friendships between Muslim, Christian and Jewish communities and organisations.
  Rachel Heilbron, Programme Director, has worked in social justice and cultural organisations including The British Library and Save the Children UK . She has an MA in Culture, Language and Identity.
 

Mentoring Programme Manager, Daniella Shaw-Gabay, liaises with students, universities and parliamentarians in her role. She convened the interfaith forum and anti-racism campaigns whilst and Leeds University. She has recently completed an MA in Ethnicity, Globalisation and Culture.

  In his role as Mentoring Programme Officer Rayyan Mirza runs events for TFF’s Undergraduate ParliaMentors and DocuMentors programmes. Rayyan studied politics and economics at Goldsmiths and is currently studying for an MA in Political Campaigning.
  Education Officer Sana Saleem liaises between state schools and Muslim faith schools. She studied psychology at University College, London and has volunteered with organisations including, Saneline and muslimyouth.net.
  Education Officer Debbie Danon liaises between state schools and Jewish faith schools. While reading Theology at Cambridge, she facilitated a Muslim-Jewish women’s dialogue group (MoJow) and ran a, ‘Hin-Jew’, dance class.
  Sarah Hulme works as Education Officer liaising between state schools and Christian faith schools. She read Theology at Moorlands Theological College and has an MA in Conflict, Governance and International Development.
  Primary Schools Linking Officer Catherine Lewis works on the Shared Futures project, in which diverse faith schools link up with each other. She has strong connections with Cambodia and is chair of Tabitha Foundation, UK.
  Amy Willshire is Secondary Schools Linking Officer in the Shared Futures project. While doing her drama education degree, she created a drama residency tackling religious prejudice in schools and is an Interfaith Network UK trustee.
  Faith and Fashion Project Officer Sophia Tillie initiated this project to work with Muslim schools on identity and faith issues. She studied Arabic and Islamic studies at Edinburgh and then worked on a Yemen newspaper. She studies Arabic at SOAS.
  Philip Ybring runs TFF’s communications including the website, newsletter and PR. Growing up in Sweden he studied religion and theology at Uppsala University and philosophy at King’s College, London. His special interest is theories of ethics, politics and social change.
  TFF’s project director for Israel and the Middle East is Miriam Feldman Kaye. She co-founded MoJoW while studying theology at Cambridge and teaches Jewish philosophy in Jerusalem.
  Resource Coordinator Gemma Keogh coordinates the internship programme and manages the office resources. She grew up and studied in East Anglia before studying in North Carolina and London and is currently working on her PhD in Anthropology focusing on the performance of Tibetan Buddhist rituals in exile.
