The current situation in the Middle East

The latest incident of violence in the Middle East demands that we continue to build our dialogue, in order that good and open relations between our communities can be sustained and strengthened.

For teachers wishing to talk about the conflict in the classroom, resources are available on our website. For more information on how to deal constructively with questions related to the Middle East, particularly in an interfaith setting, visit the Forum for Discussion of Israel and Palestine (FODIP).

3FF congratulates the new government

We extend our congratulations to David Cameron on his appointment as Prime Minister and welcome Nick Clegg in his role as Deputy Prime Minister.

The challenges facing the new government in terms of faith and inter-community relations are many. Its actions and policies will be followed closely by all the faith communities.

We also pay tribute to the outgoing prime minister and party. They have actively engaged over the last 14 years in keeping good interfaith/intercommunal relations on the public agenda.

We wish the Prime Minister and the coalition government success in any endeavour to encourage harmony and confront prejudice within this society, precious to us all.
