Past Three Faiths Forum Interns

The interns at Three Faiths Forum come from a wide variety of cultural and educational backgrounds. We have had people from all faiths and none working on areas as diverse as research, writing, administration, event organisation and marketing.

They're united by their passion for promoting understanding and cooperation between people from different cultures and faiths, and their desire to build a society where difference is celebrated rather than feared.

What past interns have said about their time with TFF...

Emily Mohr (Intern June-August 2009) is a student at Lawrence University in Appleton WI, USA, where she is majoring in Religious Studies and minoring in Gender Studies.  She hopes to continue her education by studying Comparative Religions.

"The staff at Three Faiths Forum made my experience wonderful. In general it could be said that they are a diverse group of individuals who are all working for a greater cause, which has been an extremely inspiring trait." >> read more

Dan Shoker (Intern June-August 2009) is from Stamford Hill, born to a Adeni-Jewish family.  He is part of the first group of students at Heythrop College to be pursuing a degree in Abrahamic Religions.  His interests lie in using theology in a positive way to encourage and promote interfaith dialogue and shared experiences.  He has also taken an academic interest in Scripture, and in developing a young adult inter-faith group.

"Should we disregard something as 'wrong' based on it being incompatible with our own beliefs and understandings? Or should we start listening more to each other in order to form proper judgements? The Three Faiths Forum works towards improving our understandings of “the other” with their education programmes." >> read more

Onkardeep Singh Khalsa (Intern October-November 2009) is a Graduate from Loughborough University with a degree in Management Sciences.  Onkar helped plan and run several TFF events, such as the Undergraduate ParliaMentors 2009 Launch Event and the Campus FaithHub Tour event.  He was also responsible for creating organizational databases for evaluation and administration.  A Sikh, he also gave presentations and answered questions about the faith and practice of Sikhism.  His interest involve using his IT and business skills to organize interfaith dialogue.
