Talking about Conflict in the Classroom

The Three Faiths Forum understand the frustration and confusion felt by young people in the UK about events going on thousands of miles away.

For some young people, stories of conflict are purely news, with horrific images and simple messages. For others, this conflict affects them deeply, through a sense of community or kinship that transcends borders or distance.

At the Three Faiths Forum we strive to offer young people space to discuss the issues that are important to them. In preparation for our daily work in schools we have put together some thoughts/ideas to help teachers support their students in their exploration of this subject.

Please contact us to share your experiences of teaching about this, particularly about the effects this may have on relationships between people of different religions in the UK.
